Passive buildings

A building that barely needs energy for heating

A passive building keeps the heat inside in winter and outside in summer. Heating and cooling costs drop to a minimum, and the indoor air stays fresh all year round.

Continuous insulationA thick, unbroken insulation layer around the whole building envelope.
AirtightnessAn envelope without gaps through which heat escapes uncontrolled.
No thermal bridgesDetails where the structure does not carry cold into the interior.
High-performance windowsTriple glazing with a warm installation joint.
